JMG Announces Nine New Principals

We are pleased to announce that the following team members have been promoted to Principals at the firm. Each individual has served a critical role to the growth of the firm with an average tenure of over 20 years with JMG. We appreciate their loyalty and dedication to the firm and to the clients we serve.

Stephanie Becker headshot “I am so grateful for the trust and support of my JMG family and the opportunity to continue growing in the firm. I look forward to contributing to the future successes of this firm together.”

Stephanie Becker, Client Practice Manager

Stephanie joined the firm in 2010 with a background in public relations and received her B.A. in communications from Illinois State University. She serves as a Client Practice Manager for the firm and is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional. Stephanie resides in New Lenox with her husband and two school-aged children who keep her very busy.

Sally joined the firm in 1990 and has worked with the same clients during her long tenure at the firm. She is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional and received her B.S. in finance from Northern Illinois University. Sally resides in Westmont with her husband and college-aged daughter.

Jean Sullivan Galvan, Controller

After many years running her own business, Jean joined the firm in 2019 as the Controller. She is a Certified Public Accountant and received her degree in accounting from Villanova University. Jean is a lifelong Southsider from Chicago with her husband and two young adult children.

 

Jennifer Jahn headshot “I feel very fortunate to be a member of the JMG Family and proud to represent the firm. Throughout the years, I have had the honor of endless support from colleagues and mentors, helping me grow to help the firm grow.”

Jennifer Jahn, Operations Director

Jennifer has been with the firm since 1990 and has served in numerous roles during her long tenure leading up to her current position as Operations Director. She attended St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin majoring in Art and Marketing. Jennifer and her husband live in Lombard and are avid Chicago sports fans.

After starting a job out of high school on the agricultural floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and accumulating over 17 years of trading experience, Jon joined JMG in 2020 as the Investment Trading Specialist. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from DePaul University. He and his wife, Sarah, are very busy keeping up with their two little girls.

 

Ed Raffenetti headshot “My primary focus revolves around the technology and cybersecurity needs of our employees and clients. Safeguarding their digital experience has always been at the core of my commitment to JMG.”

Ed joined the firm in 2002 after graduating from Millikin University with a degree in Management Information Systems. He is our Senior Systems Administrator, a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional and also serves on the Cybersecurity Committee at the firm. Ed and his wife reside in Woodridge with their very active three sons.

Roxanne joined the firm in 2012 after having a background in income tax preparation. She serves as a Client Practice Manager, holds the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional designation and received her B.S. in finance from Northern Illinois University. You can find Roxanne working on home improvement projects as she manages her two college-aged children.

Donna Smolich, Human Resources Director

Donna, our Human Resources Director, joined JMG in 1991. She has served in numerous roles at the firm including client service support and administration. She holds a PHR designation (Professional in Human Resources) and is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional. Donna serves on the Board of a Bulldog Rescue and lives in Warrenville with her husband and Bulldog, Sundae.

Karen Thoemmes, Client Practice Manager

Karen currently serves as a Client Practice Manager and joined the firm in 1996. She is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional and has extensive experience training our support staff throughout her long tenure. Karen resides in Aurora and stays busy keeping up with her teenage son.
