Three decades into her tenure with JMG Financial Group, Jennifer still has plenty to learn.
It’s not that she doesn’t know her stuff. All the employees know Jennifer as the consummate problem-solver, tackling everything from managing investment administration to reconciling accounts to training new staff. But JMG offers ongoing opportunities to expand her horizons.
“I still learn something new every day,” she says. “There is a culture here of encouraging growth, sharing knowledge, and helping everyone be better at what they do.”
Jennifer’s journey at JMG is a testament to that culture. She started as a receptionist, but her talents, interests, and determination soon led her to assume more varied and expansive responsibilities. JMG encouraged and supported her every step of the way.
“You will get all the tools you need to succeed here,” she says. “If you’re dedicated, work hard, communicate well, and produce, the opportunities are limitless.”
You’ll never eat alone at JMG Financial Group.
“If you sit at a lunch table by yourself at JMG, someone will join you pretty quick,” Kevin says. “It may be the CEO, it may be an advisor or another colleague, but it’s a prime example of the collegial culture here.”
It’s not just the universal open-door (and open-seat) policy that Kevin appreciates as he continues to develop his skills and broaden his experience. After working at other firms where he felt stalled in his career development, he found JMG’s emphasis on professional growth to be a revelation.
“The learning opportunities here are pretty limitless,” he says.
And those opportunities come from everyone, not just the specific advisor assigned to mentor each associate.
“If I have a question or need some direction, I can go to any advisor, knowing they will be more than happy to take the time,” he says.

When new employees join JMG Financial Group, May is one of the first people they meet. As training manager, she shows them the ropes, but also clues them in on what it takes to succeed at JMG.
“It takes a special person to be a ‘JMGer,’ because this is a special place,” she says. “As long as you’re willing to learn, stay humble about what you don’t know, ask questions, and work hard, you will go far here.”
May speaks from experience. She started as an administrative assistant before assuming ever-increasing amounts of responsibility, a journey that was facilitated and encouraged by everyone she worked with.
“Everybody at JMG is so supportive and open to helping you grow,” she says. “No matter how busy or stressed someone might be, they will always, without fail, take the time to teach you, listen to you, and point you in the right direction.”
