Description
An entry level support role assisting financial advisors, associate advisors and their teams in helping clients achieve their personal financial goals and objectives.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Basic knowledge of financial planning terms and concepts
- Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Prior work experience in a financial services environment preferred
Essential Functions:
- Actively participates in all training provided and completes assigned work
- Prepares personal financial statements, schedules, and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information as needed for clients
- Prepares / updates retirement planning and or cash flow schedules
- Updates and monitors asset allocation schedules
- Ability to research different planning, investment, and tax issues
- Prepares and completes personal income tax returns by tax filing deadlines
- Utilizes BNA software to prepare personal income tax projections throughout the year. Updates and communicates results of tax projections quarterly to verify individual estimated tax requirements
- Prints and assembles client meeting material
- Maintains, assigns, and updates task list with detailed information and follow up
- Communicates effectively with team members, Practice Manager(s) and Advisor(s) on on-going basis
- Attends, participates, and adds value in staff and PA meetings by sharing ideas with the group and collaborating with others to bring the staff together
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed, including special projects
- Complies with strict company and SEC rules / guidelines including daily completion and timely submission of timesheets and time clock, if required

- Organizes and maintains a variety of files, records, and databases
- Fields phone calls from clients and external business partners
- Responds timely to client and internal requests for information
- Additional duties, responsibilities, requirements, and activities as requested
Nonessential Functions:
- Make copies of client materials as needed
- Image client meeting materials
- Supply beverages in client meetings as needed
- Provide backup for receptionist, as needed
