When Marita reflects on her decades at JMG, she thinks fondly of the enduring relationships she built with clients and colleagues and takes pride in the firm’s consistent growth and improvement. Retiring in 2016 as the firm’s chief executive officer, Marita previously served as an advisor, vice president and chief operating officer, chief compliance officer, and president. She was instrumental in the firm’s transition to fee-only billing and believes that JMG’s ownership structure, which encourages career development, advancement and leadership, is a distinction that adds significant value for the firm’s clients.
Although Marita misses the camaraderie and daily interactions of working at JMG, she enjoys the busy but unstructured nature of retirement. She spends her time traveling, reconnecting with old friends, and being with her four grandchildren.
